Finally managed to go to MAHA and bought 2 pots of roses,a vietnam apple tree and a buah gajus tree(cashew nut),soil for planting zinnias and hubby bought few fertilizers for his jambu air tree.I also bought cosmos, zinnias, sunflower and red button flower seeds..I almost wanted to buy more but remembered that I should not get too carried away.Maybe the packaging showed colourful flowers that made me want to buy all.
I intend to plant the apple and buah gajus in large pots when suddenly I remembered that I have a big belimbing buluh tree and daun tenggek burung tree also. Hmm..where shall I placed them?
I wish I can go again this weekend because I couldnt really see much when we went that night.
Feel so geram seeing those roses, orchids and fruit trees and felt like buying everyyyything.
Really Annie..your garden is only seciput!.Get real ok!
Since I am going to move back to my old home,I can now take gardening seriously.
The garden was in a mess.My torch ginger leaves were in all directions.
Weeds filled up the empty pots and dried leaves covered the small plot under the jambu air tree.
The cherry tree was sooo huge that it dominated the jambu air tree. But there were many ripe cherries and I had fun picking them. There were also few jambu air which were very sweet indeed.
There were only 2 roses left and they were so thin.
My curry leaves tree was still there but only few branches of leaves.
Unfortunately my limau purut tree has died.
The tanduk rusa was still happily living on the branch of the jambu air tree and looked so 'prosperous'.There was the sweet smelling orchid plant on the branch which has grown bigger but have yet to flower.
Oh I just remembered that I havent seen my Mulberry. It must have died and I didnt realized it.
Well..so many things to do in the garden.
And I am excited!!.
I tried not to let myself got carried away by wanting to plant every Tom,Dick and Harry so I am fixing myself to 2 major plans which were a rose garden and a "field" of zinnia/cosmos garden.
We managed to cut off the cherry tree and during that time we realised it was so huge!!.My hubby trimmed the jambu air tree but the bay leaves tree remained untouched for now.
There is a small area where the water trickles from the water metre under the tree so its quite watery there.I need to read on the suitable plant to plant there.
I am going to put the belimbing buluh tree and the daun tenggek burung tree in the large pots.
My mandevilla will take its place where the grape fruit tree was.
Since I love climbers my long beans(I hope its still alive being left in KL for few days) will be placed at the wall.I havent decided what to plant at the other wire climber my hubby made for me.
I am going to keep my torch ginger eventhough my hubby was hinting to chop it off.Well...I have been trying to plant this since we first lived here and this was the first time I am successful. So it should stay with me for few more years!
My fire cracker plant will always remind me of my late mum so I am not chopping it off.I only trimmed it to make it look neater.
My orange velvety alamanda was growing well and with the help of hubby we tied the stalks to a wood using cable ties.So that it will shape like a small tree.Alamanda can be very messy if we dont control it.
The herbs/vegetable will be at the back of the kitchen where I am going to put up the vertical wall planter.
So I pulled out the weeds from the empty pots and transfer my mandevilla into the large ex-grape pot.I hope Linda can help me water it before I officially moved here.
My hubby mowed the grass and the kids helped sweeped the grass and trimmed leaves/branches.
After clearing the mess the garden really look neat and tidy again.
What I need to do now is go to MAHA exhibiton which is currently ongoing in KL and see what I can get from there.
I am going to read on roses and buy fertilizers and everything needed to take care of them.
I have bought zinnia and cosmos seeds but will only plant them when I'm officially stay here.
I have also bought balsam seeds but not sure where to plant them.
I used to create a space for my gardening tools and whatnots but that will be done later.
I love it when I have clear plans what to do and hopefully I can fulfill my dream to have a beautiful garden where butterflies and birds will come and visit.
Hopefully fairies will come too...hehe
Till the next time...
