Gardening work

For 2 consecutive days I have cleared the weeds across the road. The grass were so thick and the ground was full of dry leaves.

I wonder how my papayas,my avocado ,my bougainville breath all these while?

I also transferd my cashew nut tree from the pot to the ground.Hopefully it will be happier there.

Burning the dry leaves and contribute to air pollution. But at least I helped send away the aedes mosquitoes.

After all the hard labour work, looking at the neat area now gives me so much satisfaction.I hope I can do this more often.

Garden updates

Just took pictures of my garden and here are some updates from Annie's garden...

The lemon tree-so full of leaves but no flowers thus no fruits.I cant wait to see yellow round lemon in my garden!

The vertical garden-looks better here compared at the kitchen.I think because it didnt get enough sunlight there.

The banana tree-growing well  in between the bunga kantan and ginger.

Lilies- are sooo difficult to flower.Grrrr...

Look how big my belimbing buluh now. After giving me 2 fruits,it hasnt bear any yet after that.

My pathetic roses that I transfered from outside to the pot.

Oh just noticed this 2 roses that look healthy to me.

A row of flowering plant  which I got  from my MIL's house but I havnet find out the name yet.

Daisies are difficult to flower too!

I planted some bunga telang seeds across the road so that it can covers the fence and give some privacy to me.I know they can survive without me watering them.

These white fluffy things love attacking my mandevilla!!

The morning glory that has lost a bit of its glory...Yeah I forgot to water the plant this morning thats why they look lifeless.

My lantern flower is much more gemuk here compared on the ground.

I think the blue haze flower is suffering from a disease because the flowers are so small.

The balong ayam that I got from my sister's neighbour.I think this is purplish in colour.

My dear Lotus..You dont bring me flowers for a longgggg time.

A vase of white chrysanthemum on my outdoor table.

These yellow japanese flower which my brother gave me is growing well in my garden.

The neglected garden

I have been neglecting my garden eversince the fasting month. My roses are suffering from diseases of fungal and' burnt' by thrips. At the same time I was too lazy to spray regularly the plants.I just do the normal watering morning and evening.

So during hariraya there werent any roses to show off to visitors and I think it has always been like that- that when there are visitors my garden looked bare.Grrrr...
I should start gardening again now.Not just gardening but gardening REGULARLY.

Lets list the things need to be done::
1-Replant the japanese flower on my vertical garden.
2-Plant the garden peas seed that I bought that day
3-Transfer the cashew nut from the pot to the plot across the road.
4-Clear weeds across the road
5-Buy flowering plant-petunias?
6-Organized the plants under the lamp post.
7-Organized the garden shelf(ughh!!! I failed this each time!)
8-Give more TLC to the neglected roses.

etcetc

I hope I will be able to do all these but the weather has been cloudy and rainy lately so this projects might be slow to achieve.Wish me luck!

The glories of morning glory

I love creeping plants and love morning glory.
Previously I had one but when I started getting busy moving to KL and ignoring the plant, it died.

My sister knew that I was searching for the flower to plant again so when she found one in a nursery besides the highway she bought for me.

I planted it near the wall where the long bean used to be.

I hope I can find the red coloured morning glory by the name of Scarlet O'hara but its quite hard to find morning glories whatever the colour is!

Its such a joy  to see morning glory blooming when I go to my garden every morning
I hope they are happy here in their new home.

Thought I share with you a poetry mentioning morning glory(tho I dont think it refers to the flower) but I still like this one.Its by CHRIS GREEN from the website helloppoetry.

                                             Arise my morning glory
                                               the coffees on to brew
A brand new day is waiting
                                               To welcome me and you.

Chinese Lantern Flower

I was searching for a climbing plant in the nursery and saw this bright red flowers and couldnt help myself but took home with me.
It is called Chinese Lantern flower.
I planted it in a pot behind the kitchen and hoping that it will fill up the wall grill.

I love looking at it especially when the sun shines on them and seeing the shadows and reflections of the leaves and flowers.

But it didnt last long. The flower colours fade away and the leaves became yellowish.

I suspected it was because they didnt get enough sunlight there and also the pot was not big enough for it to grow fatter.
So I transfered it to the front where my bunga telang used to be.(Yeah the bunga telang was so out of controlled that I decided to pull it out).
I am hoping for it to give me bright red lanterns one day.

So far I only see these...

White Zinnia

I bought these seeds from Iris Seeds.

I just threw the seeds on the ground and one fine day a white zinnia bloomed.

Its very pretty

And I think it last longer than the usual Zinnia.
Or is it because I always look at it everyday?
I wish I have many of these but only one survived.
